Brain Booster 5K (Annual Running for Rachael)

This is not your ordinary run; the Brain Booster 5K is so much more! Set at the USAF Academy Field House with beautiful views of the Air Force Academy and over looking Colorado Springs. Professionally timed by Colorado Running Company there will also be prizes, vendors, food, music and more. Challenging but fun course and if you’re not a runner or walker you can come out to enjoy the festivities and cheer on the runners. This is a fun family event that we have every year.

Same day registration… Show more and check in will begin at 9:00am with the run/walk starting at 10:00am. If the weather is bad and the base is shut down the run/walk will either have to be postponed or cancelled.

This event is on a military installation please do NOT bring backpacks, hydration packs are allowed. Be sure to have your ID, car registration and insurance to get on to the base.

The newest addition to our Brain Booster 5K is the “Remote Runner” category. With this category you sign up as a runner but don’t have to be here to participate. If you preregister you will receive your bag and t-shirt in time for the run. Then you run or walk in support of the Brain Booster 5K and Rachael’s Ribbons of Hope from where you are. We will have a board at the event showing our Remote Runner’s names, city and state where they are at. If you register after the preregistration cut off we will get your bag and shirt out to you as soon as possible but you will still be listed as a Remote Runner on the day of the event.

Rachael's Ribbons of Hope Foundation is a 501.c.3 nonprofit organization our mission is to raise awareness and money for pediatric brain tumor research at the Brain Tumor Institute at Children's National Medical Center. This foundation is in memory of Rachael Newton, my daughter who passed away at the age of 14 from a brain tumor.
