The Smokebrush Gallery and Foundation for the Arts presents Zendagi Migzara – Life Goes On in its main gallery. Opening Friday, July 11, 5pm-8pm as a part of the 2nd Friday Artwalk events. The exhibition continues through July 23.
Part photography installation, part live performance during opening night. This exhibition of photography explores the process of image-making, fashion-in-motion and the photo-shoot as performance. This event also celebrates a term made famous by the book and film The Kite Runner (Zendagi Migzara means Life Goes On). Alan Miller of Alanworks Studio Productions aims to capture the energy and continuing upsurge in performance related practices that is happening within the photographic and fashion world.
The opening night performance will feature a fashion show with New Vintage fashion from the House of Rita and models from Alanworks Studios.
Body painting demonstrations by Mark of Zeezos is also included in the evening of events.
The exhibition of photography features J. Patrick Bernard, Joyce Desmond, Hal Gould, Rebecca Howard, Ann Kelly, John Lanosga, Alan Miller, Bill Young and Loretta Young-Gautier.
