Starsmore Discovery Center is located at the entrance to the 1600 acre North Cheyenne Canon City Park, which is one of Colorado Springs' oldest and most cherished regional parks. Starsmore Discovery Center serves as a nature and interpretive center, as well as being the orientation site for the park. This includes many interactive exhibits, a technical climbing wall, bird-watching window, a small bookstore, interpretive programs, and so much more.
Helen Hunt Falls Visitor Center is located three miles up North Cheyenne Canon Road, and also offers interactive exhibits and interpretive programs.
History:
Cherished as a local landmark, the stone building was originally the home of the Starsmore family. Purchased by the City of Colorado Springs, the historic 212 ton structure was moved to its present location, enlarged and opened as the Visitor Center at the gateway to scenic North Cheyenne Canon Park.
