"American Qu'ran"

Exhibit: "American Qu'ran" — From January 21 through March 12, 2013, IDEA Space will host the exhibition "American Qur'an." In response to a decade of travel to various Islamic regions of the world and his own research, American artist Sandow Birk created a large series of codex–like paintings that blend traditional Islamic and contemporary elements to illustrate the suras of the Qu’ran.
