Performance: Cornerstone Arts Week Keynote Presentation: "Colliding Currents?: Exploring the Boundaries of Humor, Faith, and Politics" — Cornerstone Arts Week keynote presenter Maz Jobrani is best known as a founding member of the "Axis of Evil Comedy Tour," which featured some of the top Middle Eastern-American comics in the world. The… Show more tour started in the U.S. and later went to the Middle East in the fall of 2007, selling out shows in Dubai, Beirut, Cairo, Kuwait, and Amman. Jobrani followed up his "Axis of Evil Tour" with his own solo international tour titled “Maz Jobrani; Brown and Friendly.” Cornerstone Arts Week is an annual program that stresses interdisciplinary teaching of the arts, using technology to facilitate collaboration between departments. Cornerstone Arts Week events spotlight a question chosen by arts faculty and students, and the question is reinforced by special guests, performances and interdisciplinary courses. This year's programs examine the question:“What’s So Funny?: Humor, Faith, and Politics.”
