"Faces o the Fire"

Face of the Fire, a photo documentary and gallery show, will open to the public March 1. Hours are Wed-Sun, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Friday 5-7 p.m.

Created by Wendy Pearce Nelson and Liz Cobb, the show is dedicated to telling the stories of the historic Waldo Canyon Fire and its victims, in words and images.

The show will feature:
More than 35 portraits and stories from survivors
Video interviews with meteorologists, fire officals and others explaining the science, weather and unique circumstances that… Show more led to this devastating event
Aerial map of burn area
Plaque honoring all 347 families who lost their homes
Large-scale photos of critical fire moments
Latest news on community rebuilding efforts
