SANTA GOES FOR THE GOLD AT THE BROADMOOR NOVEMBER 28
Broadmoor’s Community Celebration Honors American Cancer Society for the
17th Consecutive Year on Saturday, November 28

The Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, are less than three months away, but Santa and his pals are “Going for the Gold” at the 23rd Annual White Lights community celebration at The Broadmoor on Saturday, November 28. In conjunction with the popular event, The Broadmoor joins forces for the 17th consecutive year with the American Cancer Society for “Love Lights a Tree,” honoring and remembering friends, family and loved ones who have had any form of cancer touch their lives.

The public event takes place at Broadmoor West outdoors by Cheyenne Lake. Music with Ken Miller, Jim Salestrom and Lila Mori begins at 4:30pm. The White Lights Ceremony starts at 5:30pm with a welcome and the dedication of The American Cancer Society “Love Lights a Tree.”
From there, we’ll welcome our Special Guests. You’ll be surprised at the entrance this year!
Joining them are members of the Broadmoor Skating Club which was just inducted into the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame. After the entertainment, wish Santa and Mrs. Claus a good night before they head back to the North Pole for the evening. This is a great picture opportunity with the man of the season!

During the day, come visit The Broadmoor’s Gingerbread Village, located on the lake mezzanine level of Broadmoor Main at the top of the escalator. The Village is constructed by the culinary students of The Broadmoor. This year’s theme is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face!

Holiday shopping is available at all 24 of our retail shops. The Cosmetic Shop will host Trish McEvoy make-up artist Amanda. She will offer new make up tips for 2010. Villiers Jewelers shows Susan Saffron’s wonderful collection of popular Travel Jewelry and Suna-Desiner pieces.

A dollar from each $5 collected on parking goes to American Cancer Society Great West Division. Parking is available in the Broadmoor garage on Lake Circle. Free shuttles to Broadmoor West will run continuously.
