Lame Staff

My wife and i decided to visit the Thirsty Parrot after a nice visit to Jose Muldoon's. From the outside it looks like a cool place for a young couple like us or any college student to visit. Right off the bat the bartender working caught an attitude after we asked what mixed drinks he had.. Instead of recommending us maybe a favorite drink of his bar goers, he answered us with " ugggggh any kind".. So we order drinks to catch the game and let our meters run down with the time we had. After he looks at our I.D's and realizes we weren't from the CO, looked like he wanted to show us who was boss. So he mixes up some of the sh**tiest drinks and charges us $7.00 a drink.. That was $14 for some poorly mixed drinks poured in some half ass cleaned beer pint glasses. I don"t understand why we got so bad of service especially if we were his only customers... apart from all his 5 friends drinking and eating for free i'm sure. If you are visiting don't waste your time because you will not get greeted by a friendly staff, and you will not receive your hard earned moneys worth.. Thnx for the housepitality..

This place has the rudest most unprofessional owners in the southern region of Colorado. i would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. Poor customer service and horrible food and Drinks. Consumer BEWARE!

This Place is a rip off and the owners know it. web pricing says one thing, and then over charge and short your drinks at the bar. MANY bad reviews will follow this one about this place!!

Thirsty Parrot is a Ripoff!

My wife and I went to the Thirsty Parrot on July 9, 2008 to see the Springs Contemporary Jazz Big Band. While the band is quite good, the all-hard-surfaces room ensured that the band was INCREDIBLY LOUD. But here's the real problem: We ordered a couple of beers shortly after 6:00pm and, happy hour being from 4-7pm, got them for the happy hour price of $2.50. At 6:35pm I ordered another beer and the waitess said I had to pay the full, non-happy-hour price. When we pointed out that it was still happy hour (6:35pm), she said, "Oh, it's the computer", and insisted I had to pay the full price of $4. I reluctantly handed over the money. Then I discovered that the full price, according to the menu, was $3.50. So not only was I getting RIPPED OFF because it was still happy hour, but she charged more than the menu price! We will NEVER go to the Thirsty Parrot again. Please don't waste your time with this place. There are other establishments downtown that are honest and deserve your patronage.
