The musical comedy opens with Arthur meeting Guinevere for the first time for an arranged marriage. Initially, Guinevere is opposed ti the arranged marriage, but they eventually fall in love. In order to bring peace and stability to the kingdom, Arthur establishes the Round Table, a chivalrous order of knights who dedicate their lives to righting the wrongs of those less fortunate. After hearing of Arthur and the Round Table, Lancelot arrives to fight for the King. He becomes Arthur’s best friend, and all is well --- until Lancelot and Guinevere fall in love.
