Curtis Salgado

Winner of the 2010 Blues Music Award for Soul Blues Artist Of The Year, Salgado effortlessly mixes blues, funk and R&B with a delivery that is raw and heartfelt. Salgado was the inspiration behind John Belushi's creation of the Blues Brothers characters in the late 1970s. They met and became friends while Belushi was in Oregon filming the movie Animal House. For six years Salgado performed with Robert Cray's band, as well as singing with Santana and Room Full of Blues.
